Third-party Materials
Some of the materials and graphical elements found on Government of Canada Web sites are subject to copyrights held by other organizations. This is particularly true of sites that are jointly operated by a Government of Canada institution and an external organization as part of a collaborative arrangement. Privacy Notices
The Government of Canada and the NBC are committed to providing visitors with Web sites that respect their privacy. This page summarizes the privacy policy and practices on NBC Web site.
The NBC Web site do not automatically gather any specific personal information from you, such as your name, phone number or e-mail address. We would only obtain this type of information if you supply it by sending us an e-mail or registering in a secure portion of the site.
All personal information created, held or collected by this department is protected under the federal Privacy Act. This means that at any point of collection you will be asked for consent to collect your information and you will be informed of the purpose for which it is being collected and how to exercise your right of access to that information.
The NBC employs software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. This software receives and records the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer that has contacted our Web site, the date and time of the visit and the pages visited. We make no attempt to link these addresses with the identity of individuals visiting our site unless an attempt to damage the site has been detected.
The NBC occasionally uses cookies to track how our visitors use this site or to determine sites previously visited. They are compiled into statistical information on traffic patterns and are used to assess site efficiency. If cookies are in use and you have your cookies notification option activated on your browser the system will notify you before any cookies are used so that you may refuse them. (A cookie is a file that may be placed on your hard drive without your knowledge by a Web site to allow it to monitor your use of the site.)
Visitor information is not disclosed to anyone except the NBC personnel who need the information to carry out responsibilities of their job. Any further disclosure of the personal information you give us will be in accordance with the federal Privacy Act.
External Service Providers
In order to effectively operate its Web sites, the NBC occasionally uses service providers external to the Department. Such service providers are bound by a contract with the NBC to treat any personal information they receive in a manner consistent with the provisions of the Privacy Act.

Social Media Notice
We use our social media accounts as an alternative method of sharing the content posted on our website and interacting with our stakeholders. By following our social media accounts, you can expect to see information about the programs and services we provide.
We understand that the Web is a 24/7 medium, and your comments are welcome at any time. Comments submitted after hours or on weekends will be read and responded to as soon as possible.
Because the servers of social media platforms are managed by a third party, our social media accounts are subject to downtime that may be out of our control. As such, we accept no responsibility for platforms becoming unresponsive or unavailable.
We will read comments and participate in discussions when appropriate. We ask that your comments be relevant and respectful. We reserve the right to delete comments that violate this notice, and the user may be blocked and reported to prevent further inappropriate comments.
We cannot engage in issues of party politics or answer questions that break the rules of this notice.
We reserve the right to edit or remove comments that:

- Are contrary to the principles of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms;

The comments published do not reflect the opinion of the administration of the National Battlefields Commission and are solely the responsibility of the authors. Draw #HelloAbraham on Instagram
Qualifying conditions
The draw is organized by the National Battlefields Commission (NBC), administrator of the Instagram accounts Plaines d'Abraham (plaines_dabraham) and Plains of Abraham (plains_abraham).
Participants must be must be 18 years of age or older.
To be eligible for the draw, participants must share on Instagram a photo taken with the Abraham's Bus Stop located behind the Plains of Abraham Museum (835 Wilfrid-Laurier Avenue, Québec, Québec, G1R 2L3). Participants must tag the Instagram accounts Plaines d'Abraham (plaines_dabraham) or Plains of Abraham (plains_abraham) and use hashtag #BonjourAbraham or #HelloAbraham.
Participants can submit a photo starting July 16, 2021, until August 13, 2021, at 2 p.m. EDT.
Only one vote per person will be allowed for the duration U of the draw (July 16, 2021, to August 13, 2021).
Winners agree to be named publicly on the NBC's Instagram pages and any other profile or website the NBC maintains.
All eligible participants agree to abide by the present conditions. Fraudulent or incomplete entries will be rejected and will not be eligible.
Entering this draw is considered a complete release of Instagram by each participant. It is also acknowledged that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered with, Instagram.
Prize award process
Two winners (one per draw) will be chosen at random among all posts meeting the conditions above.
Description of the prize
Each prize includes (1) a family pass to the exhibitions of the Plains of Abraham Museum (two adults and two children) and (2) an escape rally or an activity bag for The Landscape Architect and the Hidden Treasure. The prize cannot be redeemed in exchange for its monetary value or any other value.
Designation of the winner
The first draw and the designation of the first winner will be held on July 30, 2021, at 3 p.m. EDT among the entries received between July 16, 2021 and July 30, 2021, at 2 p.m. EDT.
The second draw and the designation of the second winner will be held on August 13, 2021, at 3 p.m. among the entries received between July 30, 2021, at 2:01 p.m. EDT and August 13, 2021, at 2 p.m. EDT.
Winners will be contacted via Instagram. They must respond within seven days or a new draw will be held. Winners will have to claim their prize at the Plains of Abraham Museum, during the opening hours.
Jury
The National Battlefields Commission will supervise the draws and the awarding of the prizes.
Exclusion statement
Employees of the National Battlefield Commission as well as the person with whom they reside cannot take part in the draw and the awarding of the prize.
