Due to road resurfacing work, certain streets will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 18 and 20: Montcalm Avenue between the Montcalm parking lot and Gilmour Hill (Montcalm parking lot remains accessible), uphill on Gilmour Hill, and downhill on Gilmour Hill (Georges VI) between Montcalm and De Laune.

Plains of Abraham Museum

The Plains of Abraham Museum is the gateway to the park. Located in the heart of Québec City, you will find exhibitions, activities for the entire family, and a gift shop.

A Welcome and Information Centre

As the gateway to the park, the museum offers all necessary information to explore the Plains of Abraham. It also serves as the starting point for several activities such as guided tours and treasure hunts. 

You will find brochures, park maps, washrooms, a water fountain and parking ($). The reception staff will be happy to present the activities and answer your questions.

Permanent and Temporary Exhibitions

Dive into the history of the park with the permanent exhibition Battles 1759-1760. Until January 4, 2026, the temporary exhibition Québec 1775: Blizzards and Battle offers an insight into the American invasion of Quebec. In the summer season, admission to the museum includes the exhibition Attention! at Martello Tower 1.

Rates

  • Rates include access to permanent and temporary exhibitions at the Plains of Abraham Museum. From July 2 to September 1, 2025, access to the Attention! exhibition at Martello Tower 1 is also included;

  • From June 20 to September 2, 2025, admission is free for children aged 17 and under, and 50% off for youth aged 18 to 24 as part of the Canada Strong Pass. The Museum reserves the right to request proof of age upon admission.

  • Admission is free for all on July 1 (Canada Day), November 11th (Remembrance Day) and March 17 (Anniversary of the National Battlefields Commission);
