SOLDIER OF THE MARTELLO TOWER
Accompanied by British officers, learn all about the living conditions
of the soldiers billeted in one of the Martello Towers. Students take
part in the 1812 military lifestyle within a very interactive historical
activity through competitions and games. Accessories : guns, wooden horse,
artefacts and early 19th century decor.
Period: all year round.
Maximum capacity: 100 students (from April 15 to October 14) or 80 students (from October 15 to April14).
Presentation (costumed character): 1 guide / 30 students.

THE MILITARY (THE BATTLES OF THE PLAINS OF ABRAHAM)
Under the command of both generals Wolfe and Montcalm, revisit the soldier’s
living conditions during the 1759 and 1760 battles on the Plains of Abraham. Go
over the strategies, load rifles and guns, become an expert in artillery,
treat your wounded fellows who fell on the battlefield. Accessories:
guns, rifles, surgery instruments, cartridges, material of the artilleryman and
cannonballs.
Period: all year round.
Maximum capacity: 225 students.

ODYSSEY: A JOURNEY THROUGH HISTORY ON THE PLAINS OF ABRAHAM
Set course for the Odyssey multimedia exhibition and relive the rich, colourful past of the Plains of Abraham, the cradle of Canadian history.
Embark on a virtual 400-year journey, with historical figures at your side, ranging from the birth of New France to the park's creation through the battles of the Plains of Abraham and Sainte-Foy. Approximately 20 uniforms associated with the battles complete this exhibition. Accessories: head phones, special effects, artefacts, scale models, anecdotes, animatronic character and video.

AT YOUR SCHOOL WOLFE AND MONTCALM
Along with General Wolfe and General Montcalm, go over the great strategies
of the Siege of Quebec City which occurred in the summer of 1759. Learn
all the subtle details of battling in ranks by being part of our rifle
loading competition. Participate in an intriguing historical quiz and
see every particular aspect of the soldier’s uniform. Accessories
: rifles, artefacts, big size map and uniforms.
Period: from September to April.
Maximum capacity: 1 to 2 classes at a time.
Presentation (costumed characters) : 2 guides.
Duration: 1 hour or 1 period.
Language: English or French.
Meeting place : your school.

Restriction: school located within a 50-km radius from the Plains of Abraham. Beyond this distance, additional fees apply.

THE SNOWSHOER'S WALK
Winter sports and recreation of bygone days on the Plains of Abraham
Join a snowshoer of the 20th century and relive the “Belle Époque” of these winter strolls. Along the course you will discover the history of the Quebec Bulldogs’ Stanley Cup triumph, ski jumping, ski jorring, and lots more. This is a one-of-a-kind recreational activity that will make you shiver with delight. Accessories: snowshoes and lanterns.
Period: from December to March.

The virtual exhibition entitled 1759, accessible free of charge by Internet, is a unique opportunity for you to relive, side by side with the British, French, Canadians and Amerindians, the ups and downs of a fight to the finish for the conquest of North America, a landmark in the military history of this country. Fill out a registration card to enrol, print the actual declaration of war made by France, hear the generals explain how they envision victory, find out about the diet and leisure activities of the combatants… in all, 67 activities that let you actively participate in the game as it unfolds (illustrated narratives, interactive maps and games, videos, evolutionary comic strips, period music, etc.).

A reservation is mandatory for every activity. Sportswear adapted to the
weather occurring during the visit is required. The activities take place
in all weathers unless otherwise informed by the National Battlefields
Commission. A dining-room can be available on request. All costs include
taxes and are payable to the Receiver General of Canada. Prices and details are subject to change.
