Wednesday outings for people over 50

Looking for adventure and discovery? To sustain your taste for entertainment and culture the National Battlefields Commission is offering people 50 years of age and older, every first Wednesday of the month except for legal holidays, a series of exciting exhibitions and activities at half price!

Quebec City’s biggest playground, the Plains of Abraham, invites you to enjoy any one of the following activities throughout 2009:

Odyssey Multimedia Exhibition
A fascinating adventure through 400 of history and discoveries
At the Discovery Pavilion of the Plains of Abraham
From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
On January 7, February 4, March 4, April 1st, May 6, June 3, July 1st, August 5, September 2, October 7, November 4 and December 2

An "ingenious"exhibit at the Martello Tower 1
A history of the Martello Towers and of the life led by the soldiers who occupied them
Overlooking the St. Lawrence River
from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
On July 1st, August 5 and September 2

To wrap up your visit, tea and biscuits will be served at the Discovery Pavilion of the Plains of Abraham. Take pleasure in rediscovering the National Battlefields Park, one of Canada’s major historical parks and one of the most prestigious urban parks in the world.
